Among them, a total of 19229 tons of ternary waste were recovered, accounting for 63%, an increase of 25% compared with the previous month; 10156 tons of lithium iron phosphate waste were recovered, accounting for 34%, 16% lower than the month-on-month ratio in July; 1011 tons of lithium cobaltate were recovered, accounting for 3%, with a significant decrease of 56% on the month-on-month basis.
In addition, due to the strong market demand for lithium chemical products at the current stage and the high price, many automobile enterprises have begun to extend the industrial chain to lithium battery recycling. Nissan plans to establish new battery recycling plants in the United States and Europe before the end of fiscal year 2025. It is hoped that when the price of rare metals rises, batteries will be recycled and reused for electric vehicles to reduce the production cost of electric vehicles.
