How to calculate the number of cycles of lithium-ion batteries?
The theoretical lifespan of lithium-ion batteries is about 800 cycles, which is considered moderate among commercially available rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Lithium iron phosphate has about 2000 cycles, while lithium titanate is said to achieve 10000 cycles. At present, mainstream battery manufacturers promise in their cell specifications that the number of cycles should be greater than 500. However, after the cells are assembled into battery packs, due to consistency issues, the voltage and internal resistance cannot be exactly the same, and their cycle life is about 400 cycles.
① It is best to have a complete discharge and charging process once a week, that is, from the red battery to full charge. It is best to achieve a battery that is almost depleted once a week and then fully charged again;
② Full cycle charging refers to recharging the battery to 100% once after it has been depleted to zero, and recharging once when the battery level is below 20% is called cycle charging. Lithium ion batteries should not be fully cycle charged during normal use, as they have no memory effect and should not be adjusted in any way;
③ When charging to 100%, unplugging the charger is the best time. After charging to 100% and then charging for one hour, the battery level when unplugging the charger is not exactly at 100% full, which means that after being fully charged, the lithium-ion battery has already entered overcharge protection and stopped charging. The next time is only when the battery is consumed and overcharged, so there is no need to overcharge.

How to recycle lithium-ion batteries?
(1) Fire recycling technology: Lithium ion batteries are classified, crushed, and sent to a rotary kiln. At a high temperature of 1100-1300 degrees Celsius, zinc and zinc chloride are oxidized to zinc oxide and discharged with flue gas. Zinc oxide is recovered using a cyclone dust collector, and the remaining manganese dioxide and hydromanganese enter the slag for further recovery of manganese and other substances. Generally, smelters do not need to add new equipment to recover zinc.
(2) Artificial sorting and recycling technology: After classifying dry batteries, simple mechanical cutting is carried out to manually separate zinc skin, plastic cover, carbon rod, etc. The remaining mixture of Mn02, water manganese stone, etc. is sent back to the brick kiln for calcination to produce dehydrated Mn02. This method is simple and easy to implement, but requires a lot of labor and has little economic benefit.
(3) The requirements for lithium-ion batteries in new energy vehicles are high, and when the capacity of lithium-ion batteries decays below 80%, they cannot meet the demand; We can use a tiered usage approach to use lithium-ion batteries in other fields, such as providing power support for communication base stations, or supplying power to low-speed new energy vehicles, and storing energy for lower demand power supply systems.
