How to repair lithium batteries that have been over discharged?

There are two types of overdischarging in lithium batteries: one is when the voltage of a single cell is zero, and the other is when the voltage of each cell drops outside the detectable range of the charger.

After the single cell drops to zero, the lithium battery is completely broken, and it can only be saved when all cells are around 3V. At this point, everyone needs to prepare one and fill the board. This battery cannot detect voltage when connected to a charger. This indicates that the battery is over discharged. To save this battery, we need to prepare a normal battery.

2. Wrap the old mobile phone lithium battery that needs to be automatically shut down tightly with cling film, and try to wrap it as snugly as possible. There are three layers inside and outside to ensure that the battery is in a vacuum state. Then, wrap three layers of newspaper on top of the plastic wrap to completely seal the lithium battery. Place the battery in the freezer compartment and after 48 hours, remove the six layers of paper film wrapped around it one by one. 3. Thoroughly discharge the lithium battery that is close to being scrapped, and then recharge and activate the battery. ① Due to the self discharge phenomenon of lithium batteries, if the battery is not in use, in order to achieve long-term good preservation, the battery voltage should not be lower than its cut-off voltage, preferably around 3.8 to 4.0V;

② It is recommended to charge lithium batteries every six months to keep them above the cut-off voltage;

③ The temperature and humidity of the battery storage environment should be suitable and operated according to the specifications;
