In general working environments, excessive dust can reduce the insulation performance of electrical components. In systems with low protection levels related to electrical clearance and creepage distance, a larger margin needs to be reserved. Excessive humidity not only affects insulation performance, but also increases the self discharge rate of lithium batteries, making conductors more susceptible to corrosion. As a result, the internal resistance of the system increases, and during the charging and discharging process, more electricity will be converted into Ohmic heat and consumed.

IPX is an internationally recognized waterproof certification system. The waterproof level of the product is commonly indicated on outdoor, diving, and other equipment, which is the most common technical indicator.

The IPX waterproof rating is divided into 8 levels, ranging from IPX-1 to IPX-8, with increasing waterproof ability in sequence. IPX-0 indicates complete non waterproofing. The following is a list of IPX waterproof levels for your reference and comparison.

IPX-0 does not have waterproof protection

IPX-1 devices can provide waterproof protection equivalent to 3-5 millimeters per minute of rainfall for 10 minutes under normal operating conditions.

The IPX-2 level is basically the same as IPX-1, but it can pass the waterproof test with a 15 degree upward tilt in all directions.

IPX-3 splash waterproof protection at a 60 degree angle provides 2-5 minutes of 10 liters/second flow rate and 80-100n/m pressure waterproof protection.

IPX-4 level is basically the same as IPX-3, but it can provide all-round and angle splash waterproof protection.

IPX-5 waterproof protection in all directions and angles, providing 2-3 minutes of 12.5 liters/second flow rate and 30n/m pressure waterproof protection.

IPX-6 waterproof protection against large waves, can withstand a depth of 3 meters underwater for 2-3 minutes, with a flow rate of 100 liters per minute and a pressure of 100n/m.
