The project is progressing steadily. On December 3, the construction of Vaux Battery Super Factory was officially launched. Vaux became the first European company to build a battery super factory in China.
On December 1, Lithium Werks of the Netherlands, a leading enterprise in the global lithium battery industry, signed an agreement with Zhejiang Jiashan Economic and Technological Development Zone on investment in green energy storage lithium battery projects. In Jiashan, Vaux will build a new energy lithium battery super factory and set up a headquarters and research and development base in China.
According to the agreement, the project is initially planned to invest 1.6 billion euros (about 12.45 billion yuan), cover an area of about 900 mu, mainly produce and sell lithium ion batteries, modes and battery management systems, and apply them to green energy storage, smart grids and large transport equipment.
The first phase of the project is planned to produce 8GWh of green energy lithium-ion battery modules annually. It is planned to start construction in the first half of 2019 and put them into operation in early 2021. It can provide batteries for 160000 electric vehicles.
Gaogong Lithium has learned that the project is a national encouraged green, energy-saving and environmental protection high-tech project. As early as October 16, at the Sino Dutch Economic and Trade Forum, witnessed by Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Lu Tong of the Netherlands, Vaux signed an agreement with Jiashan County. Vaux decided to set up a new energy lithium battery super project in the Yangtze River Delta region and set up a Chinese research and development base. It is reported that this is the second factory invested by Vaux in China.
The project is progressing steadily. On December 3, the construction of Vaux Battery Super Factory was officially launched. Vaux became the first European company to build a battery super factory in China.
Case? At the launch ceremony, KeesKoolen said that through cooperation with Chinese partners, Vaux will provide much-needed energy storage solutions to promote the global transition from fossil fuels to clean energy.
Keith? Coulomb said that while continuously meeting the growing battery demand, Vaux is expanding rapidly through organic growth and business acquisition. It is expected that the revenue will exceed 1 billion dollars in 2020. In the next 15 to 20 years, Vaux also plans to build several super plants around the world to boost the development of energy storage industries such as wind energy and solar energy.
According to the data, as a global lithium battery giant, Vaux has 411 patented technologies that have been approved or are to be approved. It has companies in the United States, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom, Poland and Norway. It mainly provides durable, safe and reliable customized batteries, modules and battery management systems for industrial, transportation, maritime, renewable energy and other markets
As the demand for power batteries in the European electric vehicle industry is not in direct proportion to the number of large-scale local power battery enterprises, in order to rely on the power battery market in Asia, local battery enterprises in Europe are also seeking to develop and share this market cake. In recent years, Vaux has been aiming at the international market, expanding its business territory and capacity.
On February 9, 2018, Vaux announced the acquisition of Valence Technologies, Inc., an American lithium iron phosphate battery company, The latter's customer relations, global manufacturing, sales and distribution departments, as well as exclusive intellectual property (IP), trademark and inventory of lithium magnesium iron phosphate owned by Valence, are included in the company. The IP portfolio also includes patents for high-voltage battery materials that can be used for future battery technology breakthroughs.
On March 28 this year, Vaux announced the acquisition of the former Wanxiang A123 lithium iron phosphate material factory in Changzhou, China. As part of the transaction, Vaux also took over some of the latter's customer relationships in China, Europe and the United States related to its Changzhou business, as well as related employees and product designs. Vaux said that the acquisition will help consolidate its leading position in the global lithium iron phosphate market.
On September 4, Vaux announced that it would merge with SuperB, a lithium battery developer in the same industry, thus establishing a new battery company, Lithium Werks B.V. (Lithium Werks, Valence and SuperB).
