1.6 Production of new energy vehicles and demand for lithium batteries in the first half of the year

According to statistics from China National Automobile Corporation, in the first half of 2016, China produced a total of 154072 new energy vehicles, an increase of 86.13% year-on-year, and overall, it continues to maintain a high-speed development trend. From a structural perspective, the proportion of pure electric buses has significantly increased, accounting for 19.87%, an increase of 6.45% compared to the same period last year. Among them, for the first time, the proportion of 8-10 meter pure electric buses has surpassed that of products over 10 meters and 6-8 meter products; Pure electric passenger cars accounted for 51.88%, a slight increase from 50.20% in the same period last year. Among them, the proportion of micro pure electric passenger cars has significantly decreased, and the subsidy policy has a clear orientation for use; The proportion of the other three types of products (plug-in passenger cars, plug-in passenger cars, and pure electric special vehicles) has decreased to varying degrees compared to the same period last year.
