1.2 Diagnosis of battery pack micro short circuit
After obtaining the relative charging time of each individual charge in the battery pack, the difference in relative charging time between two adjacent charges of the individual can be calculated, and the Kn-n-1, j values can be calculated based on the difference between the current relative charging time of the individual and the corresponding relative charging time. The trend of the relative charging time of the individual can be determined, and the calculation formula for Kn-n-1, j values is as follows:

Due to the fact that the relative charging time of micro short circuited monomers increases with the increase of charging times, the Kn-n-1 and j values of micro short circuited monomers in the battery pack will be greater than those of other normal monomers. At the same time, monomers with high internal resistance experience significant voltage fluctuations at the end of each charge due to fluctuations in the charging time, resulting in significant changes in the relative charging time and larger values of Kn-n-1 and j. Based on the consistency of the Kn-n-1 and j values of each individual in the entire battery pack, and combined with the influence of internal resistance on the Kn-n-1 and j values, it is possible to determine whether there is a micro short circuit in any individual. The specific judgment method is as follows:
(1) Analyze the consistency of Kn-n-1 and j values for each monomer through box plots;
(2) Count the unit numbers with abnormal Kn-n-1 and j values;
(3) Calculate the DC internal resistance of each individual unit and conduct consistency analysis through a box diagram;
(4) Analyze the consistency of DC internal resistance of monomers with abnormal Kn-n-1 and j values, and determine whether there are any monomers with abnormal or large DC internal resistance;
(5) Screen the monomers based on the DC internal resistance, repeat steps (1) to (2) for Kn-n-1, j value consistency analysis;
If the Kn-n-1 and j values of a certain monomer are abnormal and repeated the most times as abnormal values, then the monomer has a micro short circuit.
