According to a report by Voice of China's "News Horizon":

After a four month policy transition period, the new subsidy policy for new energy vehicles will be implemented from the 12th. New energy vehicles with long range will enjoy higher subsidies, while new energy vehicles with a range of less than 150 kilometers will have their subsidies cancelled.

In early March last year, the four ministries and commissions issued the "Action Measures for Promoting the Development of the Automotive Power Lithium Battery Industry", which clearly stated:

By 2020, the individual specific capacity of lithium-ion power lithium batteries should reach 300Wh/kg, and the system specific capacity (i.e. after forming the battery pack) should strive for 260Wh/kg, with a cost of 1 yuan/Wh, and a usage environment of -30 ℃ to 55 ℃; Equipped with 3C charging capability.

However, the highest specific energy value of the domestically produced battery system that has been commercialized has just exceeded 140Wh/kg, while the 2170 cylindrical cell form jointly developed by TSLA and Panasonic has reached the level of 200mAh and has been commercialized on Model 3.

All of these indicate a trend: technology is the key and barrier that CATL is currently at its peak, and in the future, technological innovation will also be the most critical factor for the transformation of the power lithium battery industry. However, major research institutions and university research rooms frequently update the chemical formula of power lithium batteries, and no one knows when the future of power lithium batteries will emerge or where they will be born.
