Even if there is no external oxygen supply, the battery has complete combustion elements inside, which is also the reason why the flame of the ternary lithium-ion battery spreads rapidly and is difficult to extinguish after the fire.

Yang Yusheng believes that due to the one-sided pursuit of high range pure electric vehicles, the wind of high nickel in ternary materials is becoming stronger and stronger. The ternary battery may be a time bomb, and the Lithium iron phosphate ion battery should not be buried. Other experts believe that theoretically, the safety of ternary batteries is lower than that of Lithium iron phosphate, and increasing the nickel content in ternary batteries will inevitably lead to greater potential safety hazards.
