On the evening of September 17th, Kodak announced that the company plans to invest and establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Jingmen, Hubei, and invest in and construct the Kodak Hubei Jingmen New Energy Power Lithium Battery Precision Structure Project with self raised funds of no more than 1 billion yuan. The project construction period is about 24 months, and when it reaches its capacity, it will achieve an annual output value of about 2 billion yuan.

It is reported that the proposed wholly-owned subsidiary is fully known as Hubei Kedali Precision Industry Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 100 million yuan. Its business scope includes the manufacturing and sales of power lithium battery structural parts, molds, hardware products, plastic products, and automotive accessories, with 100% investment from Kedali.

The announcement indicates that this investment is aimed at further improving the company's production layout, better meeting customer production supporting needs, and enhancing the company's overall strength.

Kodali's main business is battery precision structural parts and automotive structural parts, but in terms of its business proportion, battery structural parts are an important source of revenue. In the first half of this year, Kodali achieved an operating income of 1.802 billion yuan, up 162.22% year-on-year; The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 219 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 367.01%. Among them, lithium battery structural components accounted for 93.47% of the revenue, up 171.64% year-on-year; The proportion of automotive structural components was 3.90%, up 47.61% year-on-year.

The double bumper harvest of revenue and profit benefited from the continuous increase in customer orders for precision structural parts of the company's power lithium battery. Currently, Kodak's customers include world-renowned power lithium batteries and automotive manufacturing companies, including CATL, LG, Panasonic, TSLA, Northvolt, Samsung, AVIC Lithium, Yiwei Lithium, Xinwangda, Lishen, Ruipu Energy, Honeycomb Energy, GAC Group, etc.
