Nickel-cadmium battery has a phenomenon called memory effect. When people charge the nickel-cadmium battery that has not been discharged completely, the battery will automatically remember this point that has not been discharged completely. When the next charge reaches this point, it will show the same characteristics as the battery discharge. In this way, although the battery is not fully discharged, its capacity is also reduced at this time. This is the so-called memory effect. Its essence is the appearance of dendritic crystal structure in the electrode. This memory effect is unique to nickel-cadmium batteries.
3. Lithium iron phosphate: It is a new type of electrode material for lithium ion batteries. It is characterized by large discharge capacity, low price, non-toxicity and no environmental pollution.
The performance of lithium-ion batteries depends on the positive and negative electrode materials. Lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material of lithium-ion batteries has only emerged in recent years. The domestic development of large-capacity lithium iron phosphate batteries was in July 2005.
The 18650 numbers in the 18650 lithium-ion battery represent the external dimensions: 18 refers to the battery diameter of 18.0mm, and 650 refers to the battery height of 65.0mm. The common 18650 batteries are divided into lithium ion batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries and nickel hydrogen batteries. Voltage and capacity specification: the voltage of NiMH battery is 1.2V, the common capacity is 2500MAH, the voltage of lithium-ion battery is 3.6V, and the common capacity is 1500MAH-3100MAH.
The energy density of lithium ion battery is very high, its capacity is 1.5~2 times that of nickel hydrogen battery of the same weight, and it has very low self-discharge rate. In addition, lithium-ion batteries have almost no memory effect and no toxic substances, which are also important reasons for their wide application.
