Following the release of the second-generation hybrid dedicated short-blade battery cell last year, SVOLT Energy has brought the industry's first thermoelectrically separated ternary short-blade battery - "800V Hybrid Ternary Dragon Scale Armor" this time.


As the name implies, the 800V Hybrid Ternary Dragon Scale Armor battery is applicable to the 800V platform architecture, supports ultra-fast charging, and can reach a maximum charging rate of 4C. It also inherits the Dragon Scale Armor thermoelectric separation technology, ensuring higher safety. With the support of the 800V + 4C fast charging technology, it has become the fastest-charging PHEV product in the industry. This revolutionary battery product specially designed for the next-generation hybrid vehicle models will enter mass production in July 2025.


In the current market, PHEV models have become the main force driving the continuous increase in the penetration rate of new energy vehicles. The short-blade products of SVOLT Energy are inherently suitable for the internal structure of PHEV models, as they can effectively avoid the exhaust pipe, achieving high integration and high energy capacity.


The product strength of the 800V Hybrid Ternary Dragon Scale Armor is even more prominent. Compared with traditional PHEV battery packs, this product has achieved a 20% increase in volume utilization rate. Coupled with an energy density of 266 Wh/kg, it can provide PHEV models with an electricity capacity selection range of 55 - 70 kWh, bringing a maximum pure electric driving range of 300 - 400 km. This has already reached the driving range level of many pure electric vehicles.


More importantly, this product has also achieved a 5% reduction in unit cost, giving it an advantage in price.


5C and 6C Ultra-Fast Charging Batteries, Igniting the Pure Electric Vehicle Market


SVOLT Energy also released two ultra-fast charging batteries, short-blade lithium iron phosphate and ternary, for the EV market to meet the urgent needs of vehicle manufacturers to improve charging speed.


First, there is a short-blade 5C ultra-fast charging battery based on the lithium iron phosphate system. This short-blade fast-charging battery cell can complete the energy replenishment from 10% to 80% within 10 minutes, and its cycle life can also exceed 3500 times. It will enter mass production in December this year.


The other one is a 6C ultra-fast charging battery based on the ternary system. 6C has become a highly competitive area for battery enterprises. The 6C ultra-fast charging battery developed by SVOLT Energy can reach a peak power of 6C within the 10% - 80% SOC range, enabling a driving range of 500 - 600 km with a 5-minute charge. A cup of coffee time is enough to meet the long-distance travel needs. In addition, the total electricity capacity of this product package is as high as 100 - 120 kWh, and the maximum driving range can reach more than 1000 km.


Deeply Cultivating the Lamination Process and Preparing for Solid-State Batteries


Regarding the pre-research of solid-state batteries, SVOLT Energy also released a ternary semi-solid-state battery product with an energy density of 266 Wh/kg at the summit. This is the first product defined by SVOLT Energy in terms of mass production, loading time, cost, and application scenarios. It is mainly used for special-shaped battery packs with large electricity capacity vehicles. Compared with liquid high-nickel batteries, when forced to trigger thermal runaway, the heat resistance time of this product has doubled, and the maximum temperature after runaway has decreased by 200 degrees, showing better thermal stability and being less likely to spread to adjacent battery cells.


In terms of the lamination technology, currently, the "Flying Lamination" technology of SVOLT Energy has achieved a lamination speed of 0.125 seconds per piece. It has been put into large-scale production in the Yancheng, Shangrao, and Chengdu bases, significantly improving production efficiency. The equipment investment per GWh for the Flying Lamination process has been lower than that of the winding process.
