IEC/EN 60086 Battery Testing Standards:
The IEC/EN 60086 standard aims to standardize the dimensions, nomenclature, terminal configurations, markings, testing methods, typical performance, safety, and environmental aspects of primary batteries. It specifies the requirements for primary batteries and accumulators on the one hand, and also prescribes the procedures for standardizing these battery requirements. It defines the system letters, electrodes, electrolytes, and the nominal and maximum open-circuit voltages of electrochemical systems.
EN 60086 is a standard consisting of five parts, covering the definition, testing methods, markings, performance, etc. of primary lithium batteries, i.e., non-rechargeable lithium batteries. The purpose of this standard is to ensure the safe operation of batteries under both intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse conditions.

IEC/EN 60086 also stipulates the warning and child-resistant packaging requirements for coin cells and button cells.
Battery Packaging Requirements:
IEC/EN 60086 provides testing procedures for covering batteries. In particular, the packaging should be child-resistant. Its design should prevent children from easily opening the packaging.
Battery Warning Requirements:
IEC/EN 60086 prescribes the wording of warning labels to be applied to cased batteries or their packaging, such as "Keep out of reach of children".
