The battery voltage has been determined without considering the actual voltage, and simply stating ampere hours can represent the capacity of this battery.

However, when it comes to batteries with different voltages, we cannot simply use ampere hours to represent capacity. For example, a 12V20AH battery or a 15V20AH battery, even if they are both 20AH, can supply the same power load and the equipment can work normally, but the duration is different. Therefore, the standard capacity should be measured in power.

For example, if the capacity of a polymer lithium-ion battery is 1000mAh, then the charging and discharging current is 1000mA. When the battery is placed at 3.0V within the highest voltage of 4.2V, the discharged capacity is the true capacity of the battery.

For example: 120Ah. Indicates the magnitude of the current during discharge. Our national standard specifies a discharge rate of 20 hours for lithium-ion batteries. For a 120Ah battery, it can be discharged for 20 hours with a current of 6A.

The rated capacity of a battery is generally represented by Ah and Cn. N refers to the discharge rate over several hours, which is 20 in this case. Some batteries are calculated based on a 10 hour discharge rate, denoted as C10.
