Many electric vehicle users have this question, which is how much electricity does it take to fully charge an electric vehicle? What is the power consumption per kilometer? As a mechanic, today I will give you a detailed answer to this question.
At present, most electric vehicles are 48V, 60V, and 72V, and the proportion of 48V electric vehicles is relatively high, combined with the requirement of the new national standard for electric vehicles not exceeding 48V. Therefore, today we will analyze in detail the 48V20AH electric vehicle.
After complete discharge, the 48V20AH electric vehicle is charged once at 0.768 kWh (48V * 20Ah * 8, considered to be fully charged for 8 hours). Of course, if the charging efficiency is considered, it may be higher than the theoretical value. Additionally, it should be noted that electric vehicles require different amounts of electricity due to the same voltage but different currents, as well as the same current but different voltages. Generally speaking, if the battery power of an electric vehicle is higher, the required electricity will also be higher.
So how much electricity does an electric vehicle consume per kilometer? Actually, this is not difficult to analyze. The current 48V20AH electric vehicle generally has a range of about 40km and consumes approximately 0.02 kWh of electricity per kilometer. What is this concept? Calculated at 0.6 yuan per kilowatt hour, it is only about 0.012 yuan per kilometer, which is what we call 1.2 points. This also shows that electric vehicles are indeed low-carbon and environmentally friendly products.
Of course, due to differences in seasonal temperatures, the time required for electric vehicles to fully charge also varies. For example, it may not take 8 hours to fill in summer, while it may take 10 hours to fill in winter. Additionally, many users do not charge their batteries after they have run out. From this perspective, a typical electric vehicle only requires 0.6 to 1 kWh of electricity to be fully charged.
Finally, there are several things to pay attention to in daily life. Because we are discussing complete discharge, but this charging and discharging method is unreasonable. Because excessive discharge can damage the battery and shorten its lifespan. Therefore, in daily life, users should charge the electric vehicle battery when the battery level reaches 30%, which can extend the service life of the electric vehicle battery to a certain extent.
