The difference between lithium batteries and nickel hydrogen batteries:
At the same volume, lithium batteries have a larger capacity than nickel hydrogen batteries, so their call and standby time are longer than nickel hydrogen batteries, and their price is also higher than nickel hydrogen batteries. Moreover, in general, nickel hydrogen batteries cannot be charged on demand, greatly reducing their convenience.
The development of lithium-ion batteries started with lithium-ion batteries and then progressed to lithium-ion batteries. Early lithium batteries used pure lithium sheets as the negative electrode. This type of lithium battery is prone to catching fire, causing danger. On this basis, lithium-ion batteries have been developed. The negative electrode of lithium-ion batteries is graphite. So chargers are not interchangeable
The charging methods for lithium batteries and nickel hydrogen batteries are different.
Firstly, the single cell voltage of lithium batteries and nickel hydrogen batteries is different. For ternary lithium batteries, their nominal voltage is 3.6V, while their actual voltage range is between 2.8-4.2V, while the nominal voltage of nickel hydrogen batteries is generally 1.5V, with little fluctuation in the actual voltage range.
In addition, the charging method of lithium batteries is different from that of nickel hydrogen batteries. Lithium batteries generally start with constant current, then constant voltage, and finally stop, while nickel hydrogen batteries do not have this process.
Thirdly, if lithium batteries and nickel hydrogen batteries need to be separately combined into battery packs of the same voltage, their combination method and actual voltage will also be different.
