In 2015, the production volume was 53000 tons. The import volume of China's oil based needle coke has remained stable, while the import volume of coal based needle coke has significantly increased, mainly due to the increasing demand for negative electrode materials.

The price increase of needle coke this year has directly consumed the gross profit of manufacturers, benefiting from the increase in industry concentration.
