Primary batteries mainly include ordinary zinc manganese batteries, alkaline zinc manganese batteries, as well as mercury oxide batteries. Secondary batteries are divided into two categories: rechargeable dry batteries and wet batteries. Mercury oxide batteries have been explicitly banned from production and are considered obsolete products. Nickel cadmium batteries have gradually been replaced by nickel hydrogen batteries and lithium-ion batteries due to performance reasons, and are rarely seen in the civilian market. Therefore, the hazardous waste that needs special attention in waste batteries is waste lead-acid batteries. In real life, this type of battery is also widely used.
