Key points for controlling microporous copper foil and aluminum foil in lithium-ion batteries

During the coating process of microporous copper foil and aluminum foil, it is necessary to prevent the low viscosity of the slurry from causing leakage between the pores of the foil during extrusion spraying. Foils with different pore sizes and porosity have different requirements for the viscosity of the slurry. Taking the porous aluminum foil with a porosity of 17% and a pore size of 0.35mm as an example, experiments have shown that the viscosity of the positive electrode material is required to be around 8000, and the minimum should not be lower than 6000. During the extrusion spraying process, it is necessary to adjust the transmission speed appropriately. (If the slurry is left to stand for too long, it is easy for a small part to penetrate to the other side, which can be solved by rapid flooding.)

The use of mechanical processing to make holes has extremely high production efficiency, and it is expected that the cost increase after mass production is limited compared to the price increase of conventional double light copper foil (the estimated final selling price is around 130000 yuan/ton).
