Ternary lithium-ion battery

A ternary lithium-ion battery refers to a type of battery in which the positive electrode is a polymer of three metal elements: nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn), or aluminum (Al), and the electrolyte is mainly lithium hexafluorophosphate. Nickel is an active metal that is important for improving battery energy density and providing higher battery life. Cobalt is also an active metal that can inhibit the mixing of cations, thereby improving the stability and service life of batteries. Cobalt also determines the charging and discharging speed and efficiency of batteries. The important use of manganese or aluminum is to improve safety and stability.
