Carbon zinc battery
Carbon zinc batteries, also known as carbon zinc dry batteries, carbon based batteries, and carbon based cells, have a shell made of zinc. It can serve as both a container for batteries and a negative electrode for batteries. Carbon zinc batteries have evolved from liquid Leclanche batteries. Traditional or general types use ammonium chloride as an electrolyte; Batteries are usually carbon zinc batteries that use zinc chloride as an electrolyte, which is an improved version of commonly used inexpensive batteries. The positive electrode of a battery is mainly composed of powdered manganese dioxide and carbon. An electrolyte is a paste solution formed by dissolving zinc chloride and ammonium chloride in water. Carbon zinc batteries are the cheapest primary batteries, making them the preferred choice for many manufacturers, as they often have to ship batteries in the equipment they sell. Zinc carbon batteries can be used for low-power devices such as remote controls, flash lights, toys, or transistor radios. The carbon rod mixed with manganese dioxide in the positive electrode of this battery is only responsible for drawing out the current and does not participate in the reaction. The positive electrode actually participates in the reduction reaction and supplies positive electricity to the manganese in manganese dioxide. Therefore, it is also known as a manganese zinc battery, zinc manganese battery, or zinc manganese dioxide battery, also known as a manganese dry battery. The voltage of carbon zinc batteries is 1.5V.
Zinc air battery
Zinc air battery is a type of product with a special structure. The negative electrode is made of zinc alloy. And the positive electrode material is oxygen in the air. Due to the holes on the battery and the short storage time after activation, zinc air batteries are more prone to battery leakage. When using zinc air batteries, it is necessary to replace depleted batteries in a timely manner, regularly check the condition of the batteries, and remove them when not in use for a long time. The voltage of the zinc air battery is 1.4V.
