Market Overview

So far, in the three major fields of electrolyte - energy storage, power, and 3C, the entire power lithium battery market has been higher than the 3C market. In 2015, China's power lithium battery production was 16.9GWH, an increase of more than three times year-on-year. In the first half of 2016, China's power lithium battery production was about 12.64GWH. The production of supporting electrolytes was approximately 63300 tons in 2015, and reached 39700 tons in the first half of 2016. It is expected that the production of electrolyte will reach 89000 tons this year.

The price of electrolyte is greatly influenced by lithium hexafluorophosphate. We developed lithium hexafluorophosphate in 2009, and the price before this was 400000 yuan/ton. After development, the price has been decreasing, and by the end of 2014, the price had dropped to around 70000 to 80000 yuan. However, after the development of new energy vehicles in 2015, the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate increased again, reaching a peak of 450000 yuan/ton, so the price of electrolyte fluctuated greatly. From the second half of this year until next year, as new lithium salts are introduced into the market and the market gradually opens up, the overall price of electrolytes will decrease.
